About The Client
Herpa Miniaturmodelle GmbH is the worldwide leading manufacturer of car and airplane models in various scales. The company manufactures in Shenzhen, China, and sells to the world. Automobile companies like Mercedes, BMW, Porsche and Ferrari trust the German company as well as all major airlines, such as Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa or American Airlines.
 
 
 
Problem
Herpa’s supplier in Shenzhen, China, sends approximately 50 new releases to Herpa in Germany on a weekly basis. The samples are shipped by air from Shenzhen and arrive in Germanyabout 3 days later. Then, one Herpa employee in Germany must inform the photo studio about the new arrival and send the models to the studio. This process is obviously time, labor and cost intensive.
 
 
Solution
The Shenzhen supplier sends one additional sample to Rimagine without any extra cost for Herpa. Once the products are at Rimagine, the photographers shoot the products with a pre-defined shooting package. One shooting package consists of 7 standard shots.

Once the products arrive at our Shanghai studio they are photographed and retouched according to Herpa’s pre-defined requirements. After the images are approved by Rimagine’s Quality Assurance Team, the photographs are uploaded to a server. Herpa’s graphic department in Germany gains instant access to these images over a secure internet connection and can immediately start their work.
